Careers and College Information
We have a dedicated Careers Office within the Sixth Form building that is equipped with resources on Further and Higher Education as well as career entry routes into apprenticeships, the military and more.
Mr Evans is our Careers Leader and is supported by Mr Foster who is a registered Level 6 Careers Development Professional and is based there on a block placement basis and is available for careers meetings.
Careers 1-1 Meetings Timetable for 2024/25
December 2024: 1-1 careers interviews begin with Year 11 (first tranche)
7-10 January 2025: 1-1 Careers interviews with Year 13
w/c 20 January 2025: Year 11 mock exams
Feb 2025: 1-1 careers interviews continue with Year 11 (second tranche)
Feb 2025: 1-1 Careers Interviews with Year 9 in Preparation for Options evening
26 Feb 2025: Year 9 Options Evening
March 2025: Straw poll to indicate destinations post-16
April 2025: Follow up 1-1 careers interviews for those in Year 11 that require one including workshops on CV writing and interview practice with our Enterprise Advisor (Mrs Hampshire)
April 2025: 1-1 careers interviews begin with Year 10
May/June 2025: GCSE/A Level Examinations
w/c 14 July 2025: Year 10 Work Experience Week
14 August 2025: A Level Results Day
21 August 2025: GCSE Results Day
